Ah the sweet sounds and smells of summer!

I had a blast at the annual Norway Arts Fests performing w/ Lucindagail last weekend.

What's a little rain?  We ended up hootin it up at Cafe Nomad with a full house :)

TOMORROW I look forward to Munjfest in Portland, ME.  My first time there and can't wait!

Upcoming on August 14 will be my family-kids  show on the Gazebo in So. Paris ME. at the

Moore Park Arts Festival.  See Details on all of these shows on my Calendar Pg.

 

Show 13 of Mainely Acoustic, our community tv and online music series, is up next with wonderful singer songwriter multi-instrumentalist Katherine Rhoda of Hiram & Monhegan Island, ME.  I was honored to be her host. FMI www.katherinerhoda.com  to be online by August.

Dear Friends,

As I look upon the traffic visiting my site and I see the visits from different countries, from non profit & educational orgnizations, networks, and ukulelia.com, I feel so connected to all of you, and I thank you for visiting.  This keeps me going. To know that there are people out there who benefit from the music from my heart, inspires me to keep writing and spreading new songs.

I'm beginning a POETRY-BLOG on my site. Please feel free to express your thoughts there or send in some Poetry for all of us to read. Let's keep those love lights shining.

Though my nickname "Mary Ukelady" will always headline my Kids Shows, I'm introducing my real name "Mary Christine", a name I've always loved.  'Born on News Years Eve, it was chosen to fit the holiday season.

Kudos & Thanks to all who supported this benefit concert put on with Rusty Wiltjer of Waterford, and Bob Wallace of Harrison, (pictured w/ me on the Photo pg.) at the Fare Share Commons Art Gallery, Main St., Norway, ME. to benefit Beth Coffin's family.

Concert proceeds went to "Beth's House Committee" a group of local advocates raising money to build a house for 24 year old Beth Coffin of West Paris, who struggles with Spinal Muscular Atrophy and whose parents suffer from chronic Lyme Disease. Their home has become unsafe and the community is pulling together to raise money for this cause. If you would like to help, please email me at ukeladymusic@yahoo.com
